About Solstickan

Solstickan is only 150 meters from the sea and Sweden’s longest sandy beach, which offers a wide range of activities. For those who just want to walk, the beach is wonderful to experience. Either at the water’s edge or in the hilly dunes.

The story begins with the fact that the hostel’s surrounding farm was a former children’s colony. Here you stay in a cozy and familiar accommodation in classic hostel rooms or in your own cottage. In the hostel part of the main building there is a large kitchen with a dining room for 35 people and a living room with a TV that our guests have access to. The surroundings are idyllic and filled with berry bushes, as well as child-friendly as there are large green areas with a playground. In the garden there is also a barbecue area and garden furniture for late and cozy evenings!
Opened before midsummer 2022, the hotel offers accommodation, sauna, spa area and conference room. Solstickan expanded from just a hostel and cottage rental to also offering hotels. On the third floor of the hotel there is a large roof terrace where you can sunbathe and relax with a nice view of the sea, Båstad and Halmstad. Hotel Solstickan adapts to what guests want and can arrange engagements. The whole complex, hostels, cottages and hotels, is open all year round and everyone is welcome.
